Foolishness exposed

Only have a minute to report! What a great evening last night! Pavel the preacher exposed man's folly by giving 10 excuses a fool might give for not wanting to get a bath, then showed that basically the same excuses are given by men for not wanting to have their souls cleansed by Christ. I'll try to get them all, but for example: "I don't need a bath...I'm not that dirty" "I'll get a bath when I feel more dirty" "I get a bath on the holidays, at Easter and Christmas"

Many more folks are coming to the tent. One 70 year old grandma invites every passer by into the tent. She calls all of them "youth" and says to 60 year old men "young fellow, come and hear the good news of God". Please pray for the Lord to do a great work today (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday)! Thanks for praying!

Exemplary Evangelist for Christ! 9am--Pavel was at the tent to work through problems with the city officials. 10am--he was rehearsing with the singing group to perform at the evening service. During the day he was with his team, preparing for the outreach. 6:30-8:30pm he was emcee for the evening and featured preacher--Preached a GREAT gospel message! Here at 10pm--he is on the street witnessing to youth of Samara. He does this for 5 days straight! And this is the 7th city he has been evangelizing since June 1! Can you learn something from this Russian brother!!  

Does Volodia look tired?? He's laboring to exhaustion for the gospel of Christ. Pray for him! 

...and the Lord added to their number

Tonight, thanks to the Lord and the prayers of His people, the living and powerful word of God was preached under the blue and white tent on New Garden "Novosodovaya" Street in Samara. And the Lord added souls to His church. When the call was given to repent and believe in Jesus Christ about 7 to 10 people responded, confessing their sins and calling upon the Lord for forgiveness.

Please pray the word will be preached again tomorrow night. At this point the city is saying we must take the tent down tomorrow morning at 9am but we may be able to move it about 100 feet back from the road to another spot. Pray also for strength for our pastor Volodia who was in meetings with the city all day and will be again tomorrow.

Troubles!

Please pray. As of now, 12:40pm Samara time, 12:40am California time, Volodia our pastor is down at the city administration building engaged in difficult conversations about the tent. The city is putting on the pressure to take it down. I was at the site today when they (administrators) pulled up and said the tent must come down. Volodia resisted and he and others went downtown for meetings with the 'higher-ups'. May the Lord's will be done!
